At last night's regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Education, the following action took place.
A budget hearing was conducted at 5:15. Mr. Cass gave an overview of the document and stated the financial health of the district. The hearing was adjourned at 5:29.
The regular meeting began at 5:30. The Board approved the consent agenda, consisting of approving the agenda, approving and signing the minutes of the regular meeting on April 27, 2026, approving the bills, payroll, and Treasurer’s Report.
The Board adopted the tentative amended budget to be displayed for 30 days. The final amended budget will be considered at the June meeting. The budget document can be found HERE.
The Board adopted the district's FY27 Consolidated District Plan.
The Board entered closed session for nearly two hours.
Upon returning from closed session, the Board took the following action.
Assistant softball coaches were appointed. Brenden McGhee will be the assistant coach, with Rosie Jackson and Charley Cass as volunteer assistants.
The Board appointed Jimmy Smith as a volunteer assistant boys basketball coach.
The Board awarded a post-retirement stipend to Krsitin Tate in recognition of her service to the Bethel-McClellan volleyball program.
The Board employed Anna Morgan as a part-time, seasonal custodian for the summer.
